Dance Recital

This weekend was a big one for Amelia and Isabel. They have been waiting for their dance recital for months and it was finally time to get all dolled up and go put on a show. Friday was a 4 hour dress rehearsal and Saturday brought two shows for a total of 9 hours at the high school theater. It was exhausting but great! Each show was 2 1/2 hours full of amazing dances. The girls danced so well and had huge smiles on their faces. I was so proud and cried through the ballet performance both times. Their tap dance was so cute and made everyone cheer. For weeks, Amelia had been begging me to let her wear the recital tutu and I said no, as I could not risk it getting ruined before the show. I kept telling her, "After your recital, you can wear it whenever you want to. You can even sleep in it and I will not care." And that is exactly what she has done for the past two nights. We love our little dancers and are so proud of how well they did!!

They would not let us record during the actual recital but we could record the dress rehearsal. So here are both dances during rehearsal.
